6th Annual Erika’s Lighthouse Walkathon.What started as a walk around the Washburne Middle School playground has evolved into a 2-mile, fun and information filled afternoon, including walkers from as far away as Barrington, Downers Grove, Chicago, Lake Forest and Antioch. The New Trier Volunteer Center Junior Board sent a group. There was even a team of Washburne teachers! “We encourage dogs to come walk, too!,” says Ginny Neuckranz, Board President and co-founder with husband Tom.

Documentary about the 24 Peaks Challenge of August 2009 held in the lake district. 24 parents, boys and teachers from Welldon House at Tonbridge School took part to aim to raise £20,000 to split between the British Red Cross, and The Tonbridge School Foundation.
