The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile, three-day walk that benefits the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the National Philanthropic Trust (NPT) Breast Cancer Fund. Breast Cancer 3-Day participants walk an average of 20 miles a day during each three-day event, raising awareness in communities and generating funds for research education and community outreach programs. Walkers train for months before the event, which allows participants to create an ongoing, structured workout regimen with a motivating goal: participation in the Breast Cancer 3-Day.
Holly Hockenberry and her two children each dyed their hair pink to raise awareness for the 3 day walk taking place in Cleveland.
