Do you have to be insured to start dog walking?

Hello,
im a teen who is fundraising for a charity over in Tanzania, well actually im going on an expedition but the cost is £2,500 and everyone has to raise £500 each to raise money for facilities in the area. I have been looking at ways to raise money and have come across dog walking. Me and my friend megan would love to give it a shot as we are both dog lovers. i am hoping too do it just on my highstreet but when i showed my mum she said i have to be insured. it won’t be a buissness just a kind of fund raising idea, but i dont want to break the law! helpp?

What a wonderful idea, No you don;t have to have insurance. The owner of the dog has insurance. I would not let this stop me from doing this. Go ahead and enjoy the experience.
