Walkathon Blog

All about walkathons

i thought entering a cancer walk was a good achievement?

so why are they charging me $130 for registration? =[ i mean i really want to accomplish it although im not a cancer survivor or know anyone with cancer but i just to support people in need.
should i still go threw with it?

There are other walks that don’t charge you 130. They encourage you to raise atleast 50 dollars from other people by walking. I would go try the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness walk. It’s ten times better and doesn’t cost money.

Where do you think that money is going to go?

you should go through with it because in your heart you really want to. The money may go to help people with cancer or for the research that is required. Don’t do something because you want recognition for doing so….that means nothing to no one.

Are you serious? The registration fee is why they hold those things — to raise money for cancer. How else did you think that walking would help anyone?
