How do you start a walkathon at your school?
Okay so I go to Aberdeen High School in Aberdeen Maryland. And right now I’m watching Hope for Haiti and its just heart breaking. So i started to think about what I could do, and I came up with a walkathon. How do I start one at my school, and what do I need, how do I get started, who do I go to. I need everything, so if you could please help me out so I can start something special that can be remembered and help all the pour souls in Haiti…

Hi, that is a great thing to do – I am watching the same thing and it’s really opened my eyes to all of the people suffering.
A walkathon would be a good thing to do, especially if you could get a lot of people to be sponsored and contribute.
To start, you would need to set up a meeting with your school headteacher (principal) and I should think, they would let you do it and they should give you recognition for this and get more people to join the walkathon. You need sponsor forms, so I should either ask your principal for some, or make some yourself. Try to advertise the walkathon around your school and get your friends to join, get your friend’s friends to join and so on.
