How do I organize a walk-a-thon?
Does anyone have any tips, book suggestions, website links?
Yes I have tried doing a search, I got tons of links but they all described other peoples walkathon, not how to organize one from scratch.
1) organize one with a "for a cause," because it will attract more benevolent minded people.
2) organize committees to handle administrative, financial and promotional activities
3) determine the route of the walkathon. preferably one that is safe and can be seen by lots of people.
4) advertise thru print, radio and tv media. put up streamers, leaflets and by word of mouth
5) get all necessary permits from government agencies
