Writing a proposal to management about hosting a walkathon (could also be a fundraiser). why host etc.. ideas?
I’m trying to use it as a means to boost employee relations, company image, and community involvement. I need to include how a walk-a-thon can achieve these and benefits to the company. Also, any other ideas for events, programs, activities that can achieve the aforementioned (employee relations, company image etc.) is welcomed.

Good publicity is hard to buy. Major companies are pairing up with causes to help out situations . Its also a win-win situation regarding exposure and publicity.
Your company will get recognition with their own advertising but probably also through the causes or organizations website, brochures and pamphlets.
Good press may not be cheap sometimes but its the name of the game.
This would also help employee moral by being able to mingle on a social level. People who have friends at the office tend to skip or quit a job less.
