Does anyone own a pair of Masai Barefoot Technology (MBT) Shoes and walked a marathon?
I bought a pair of new shoes to prepare for the 1/2 marathon at Foot Solutions and the sales person had me try on a pair of MBT shoes. I felt like I was wearing rocking shoes, but if they truly are good for you, I may consider paying the big bucks. I walk a marathon every March and I am out there for seven hours.
Yes, i got a pair of MBT shoes in my birthday but its not the expensive 1..still good though..it really increase your tone, alignment throughout the body, benefiting circulation and giving you a feeling of overall good health and well being.
If you are training with MBT it will really improves your: Coordination, Core Stability, Power & Speed, Running Style, Endurance, Flexibility, Recovery and Injury Prevention.
Performing on a high level needs to balance all of your abilities. Good luck for your marathon !

Many of the celebrities in the Great Walk to Beijing(with Olivia Newton John) wore MBTs for the duration of the trek! MBTs were chosen for the walk because of their unique benefits; maintaining an upright posture to prevent joint and back pain, increased muscle activity and assisting in muscle regeneration.
I have two pairs and they are fantastic! You might need a bit of training in them before you walk a marathon as they take a bit of getting used to!
I actually prefer the Chung Shi over MBT- The Chung Shi helps more with muscle tone, posture, calorie burn, and it massages my foot while I walk. I have high arches, so the rollerbar does wonders for my tired arches. Give them a try- at least give them a try, let me know what you think!
